It takes a village sometimes, and this could not be more true for Buddy.

Buddy is special pup, so special in fact that an entire neighborhood came together to save him. Buddy was a teamwork effort of dog loving neighbors. His owners weren’t able to afford vet care after he had been kicked by a horse on at least two separate occasions. After witnessing his deterioration and seeing him barely move most days, his neighbors became his rescuers. They all came together to get him some much needed help and reached out to ADORE to do it! On what was possibly his very first vet visit ever, he got lots of medicines for multiple skin/ear infections and an X-ray showed a shattered hip from the horse kick. After only one week of medicated baths and meds he was back on his fee, slowly but surely. Now a little over a month with his foster family he is playful and very goofy! He loves his chew toys and is learning to fetch. He’s very smart and potty trained extremely fast! He loves attention and will paw at you or just put his face in your hand when he needs some love. After some play time he loves to nap on the couch. He is a big cuddle bug and deserves a loving forever home!

Buddy is great with other dogs his size and smaller. He also gets along great with the neighborhood kids.

Buddy has come a long way, and ADORE will take care of  raising funds for his shattered hip, but his journey deserves a happily ever after. He is more than ready to continue recovering in his forever home.

He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
