My name is Reese and I am a 2 year old Labrador mix. I was taken to a shelter as a severe neglect case. I had outgrown my collar and it had become embedded into my neck. My previous owners had not noticed because I spent day in and day out chained in their backyard. When I was finally taken out of that horrible situation and to the shelter, my sweet and friendly demeanor is what saved me from euthanasia. You see, due to my big head and broad body, I was labelled as a pitbull and seen as unadoptable in the shelter, but shelter workers refused to euthanize me because of my great attitude. That’s were ADORE comes in! The shelter contacted rescue after rescue with no luck of getting me out, and after months of trying my time had run out. Lucky for me, ADORE came in and took me into their program with no time to waste.
I am big, but I am gentle giant that believes I am a lap dog. I love kisses and I love people, but if you give me a cookie I will forget about all my problems. I love to run, be chased, and be hugged!
I am heartworm negative now that ADORE put me through my treatment! I am up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered.
